Back Country Guided Hunts
has to offer.
Back Country Guided Hunts is located in Babbitt Minnesota. It is truly in the "Back Country" of northeastern Minnesota. We are proud of our beautiful lakes and forests in this area. Mike has been guiding hunts for over 20 years, and is licensed and insured. In that time there have been many bears harvested weighing over 400 pounds. Mike is in the woods year round with his bait trapping business, he has a great knowledge of the area and where the bears are. Cuddeback game cameras are used at each site. Mike starts to bait as soon as the legal date for baiting opens, and continues baiting until the last hunter is finished for the season. He welcomes each hunter to hunt for the entire month of September, or until that hunter harvests a bear. The applications must be applied for starting April first, through the month of April. To hunt through Back Country Guided Hunts you must apply for zone #31. In June you will be notified if you have been drawn.
Back Country Guided Hunts will personalize the hunt to fit your needs. Lodging is not included in the fee for the hunt. However there are motels lodging and camping near by.
Mike is an avid bow hunter and because of his success in this area, for years has been asked to provide guided archery deer hunts.
Starting in October 2011 Back Country will offer Guided Archery Deer Hunts. The entire month of October for the agreed price. Lodging is not included in the fee for the hunt. Game cameras are used at each site.
All hunting will take place on a variety of land... private, state, and federal.
